Welcome to the office! Thanks to Kelly at http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/ for allowing me to show you our office. This is hubby's main hangout, as he works from home. Last year, I started the "office re-do", and still have a way to go. But it's getting there!
This lonely corner is waiting for a chair...just haven't found the right one yet...
Have you ever seen a "Woo Dog?" Neither had I, until hubby brought them home. They are solid jade, and very heavy.. They stand guard on top of the bookshelf, over the TV.
Hubby's a very fit guy - he manages to work in some weights between phone calls...
When I started the office redo, I took out the carpeting in preparation for bamboo flooring. Until the budget allows for the bamboo, I painted the concrete with the same paint used for the walls. I got an inexpensive area rug from Home Depot, and it works for now. The paint was obviously not concrete paint, so it can peel; especially when anything heavy sits on it. But it keeps the office cool!
Thanks for visiting our office!

Hi Rhonda...ooops, I see I left out the N above....sorry!!! Thanks so much for dropping by! I am sorry to hear about the loss of your dear kitty. I know how that leaves a hole in your heart. And, yes, we do think Ozzie is part Maine Coon. She has that funny meow and "britches"...longer fur on her back legs. In any case, she rules the roost...a tortoiseshell with "tortietude." Thanks for noticing my dear baby. Have a great week...hugs...Debbie

Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteI was over at my friend; Gloria’s at Happy To Be Me and saw your comment so came to say hi. I have been blogging for 4 months and it has been a lot of fun.
I like the "Woo Dogs" they must be heavy if they are jade. I visited Thailand once and their most valued Buddha is Jade. Drop by my place anytime it is always nice to meet a new friend. Cathy
I love the large photos on the wall and the curtains. Where did you find those? I want some new ones for my dining room!

ReplyDeleteHi, Rhonda! Thanks for visiting and becoming a follower. You made my day. Which has been long and hot. I'm in the process of redoing my home office and yours was very inspirational.
ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda- I bet I'm not the only one who would love to have such an organized office (for my husband or for me).

Hi Rhonda,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your kind visit.
I really appreciate it. With so many vintage and cottage style blogs I've seen it's nice to know we have the same taste in home decor'.
I really enjoy the old world style.
Our home is about 2550 square feet.
More than enough room for just the two of us.
We built it in 06' and have been happy here.
You know the lmilitary wayn though. This is certainly not our last home before retirement.
Your home office is gorgeous! I really like the "K" and all the picture frames.
Beautiful paint color too.
Please come back to visit anytime. It's great to hear from you.
Have a blessed Sunday.
~Warmly, Melissa :)
